Overcoming the Language Barrier

thankyou

Hello Travelers,

When traveling, sometimes travelers forget that you might end up having a language barrier on the language that is spoken in the country of your travels. What can you do to fix this and for you as a traveler to feel more comfortable in your travels? Well according to a lot of recent articles regarding this, it actually says the best way to go about this is to use your phone. New programs and applications are produced daily to help travelers understand the languages and cultures of other countries.

One that I found to be really useful was the Travel Phonics App on your smart phone. Here is a link to a YouTube video that shows a little bit more of what it is about and how it is operated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfYKIGJkxlU&spfreload=1.

Some other advice that I can share is to take the time to look into the culture that is presented and language that is spoken. Learning some basic words for a big and expensive travel can give you a better experience. Words such as restroom, money, hungry, and thank you might be in your best interest to learn before.

Healthy Travels

Hello Travelers,

Finding a great place to travel to at a great price is a dream come true, however, it can become a nightmare if you become sick in your travels. Therefore, I have put a list of some things you as a traveler can do in order to prevent your health from getting awful while traveling.

Eat nutritiously and healthy, this includes even in the duration of the transportation you use in order to take you to your destination. When flying, a lot people don’t take the proper nutrition and by the time they land they already feel bad.

Be clean, make sure to wash your hands constantly and keep them clean. Try not touching your mouth, nose, and eyes as those are specific places that trigger sicknesses.

Exercise and sleep, these are two daily activities that should be done when you are not traveling as it is, so take them with you on your travels it might just save you from that common cold that’s going around.

Packing Precautions

Hello Travelers,

Going on a trip, you are going to be one out of two types of travelers: one who packs lightly and one who wishes they did. The article that I read by Rick Steves (https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/packing-light/packing-smart) did a great job on educating me what I should bring and therefore I want to offer my readers similar concepts when it comes to packing.

The most important thing to remember is to pack light, Why, because as Rick Steves says:

“You can’t travel heavy, happy, and cheap. Pick Two.”

Therefore, consider if an item that you are placing in you’re ONE BACKPACK is worth it. Is it going to make you happier when you are at your destination or just be a nice touch? That answer is the main question to ask yourself as you are placing your items in your backpack.

The pros of packing smart are countless. First off, you save money by carrying your own bag. For that reason, make it light and only have one. Second, it saves you a lot of time when traveling, because of that you’ll have more time to enjoy the attractions offered. Lastly, statistics show its more safe for travelers to have one light backpack.

Know Where To Go

Hello Travelers,

Have you ever wanted to explore the world, to take that one step in a new place but just never can come up on where to go? Well today I am here to help you decide. First off, I have included a link that highlights the Top Destinations in the World of 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dS4KgI8u60. In the video it touches upon a few places in the entire world you can go to, but before you make that decision here are some tips:

Research: Make an educated decision on where you are going and the culture that is prominent in that area.

Interest: Find somewhere that you would enjoy going to, find a place that you would want to talk about for years to come.

Transportation: Make a realistic choice on this, if you want to go to the Caribbean and you do not live there, you’re transportation methods include boats and airplanes, if that frightens then choose something locally where you can drive to, this might make the experience more enjoyable.

Financial: Decide on somewhere where you can afford, there are a lot of cool places the world has to offer at an affordable price.
